Investment Return Calculator

Calculate total return, CAGR, net profit, and annualized return from investment data including optional dividends.

How to Use Investment Return Calculator

The Investment Return Calculator computes total return percentage, Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR), net profit, and average annual profit from your investment data. Enter your initial investment amount, current or final value, investment period in years, and optionally any dividends received. CAGR represents the smoothed annual rate of return, calculated as (Final/Initial)^(1/years) - 1. This is more meaningful than simple total return for comparing investments of different durations. Use this tool to evaluate stock investments, mutual funds, real estate returns, or any asset that grows over time.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Enter the initial investment amount
  2. Enter the final (current) value of the investment
  3. Enter the investment period in years
  4. Optionally add total dividends received and click Calculate
