Drywall Calculator

Calculate drywall sheets needed for walls and ceiling. Accounts for room dimensions, sheet size, doors, windows, ceiling option, and waste factor for accurate material estimates.

How to Use Drywall Calculator

The Drywall Calculator determines how many sheets of drywall you need for a room. Enter room length, width, and ceiling height. Choose your sheet size (4×8, 4×10, or 4×12 feet). Specify the number of doors and windows to deduct their area (standard door = 21 sq ft, standard window = 12 sq ft). Optionally include the ceiling. Set a waste factor (typically 10-15%) for cuts and mistakes. The calculator provides wall area, ceiling area, net area after deductions, and total sheets needed including waste allowance.
